Dear Hasher,

Congratulations you are registered for the 3rd annual Val Hash Catalina Island Camp out trip on September 5, 6 and 7. You will need to arrange your own transportation to Two Harbors, Catalina. The following are your available options:

• Swim
• Convince someone to fly you over by plane or helicopter. Please note we will not be arranging transportation from the airport or Avalon (do it yourself).
• Take the ferry
  • Catalina Express 1-800-464-4228 or 310-519-1212 Please book on the 4.00pm boat, from San Pedro. This boat has been put on to service the Hash!
  • Catalina Cruises 1-800-228-2546 (those who have registered early will receive a 10% off coupon in this package).
  • Catalina Flyer (goes to Avalon only but will connect to Two Harbors via the Safari Bus.)

San Pedro Terminal (Catalina Sea and Air Terminal, Berth 95, San Pedro - Take the 110 Fwy (Harbor Freeway) south to the Harbor Blvd exit and follow signs to the Catalina Sea and Air Terminal, Berth 95.

Long Beach Terminal (Catalina Express Port, 1046 Queensway, Long Beach at the Queen Mary: - Take the 710 Fwy (Long Beach Freeway) south to Long Beach. Follow the signs to the Queen Mary which will lead you into the Catalina Express Port at Queen Mary Landing.

If all else fails call the Two Harbors Visitors Services on 310-510-1550 and they will arrange your transportation for you.

The campsite is easy to find once there, and a map has been included to assist those who are directionally challenged. We will be in campsites 1 through 7, which is the lower campground, closest to the water. It is thought we will piss less people off being down there.

For those who have a problem with packing and what to bring we have included the following not so helpful list:

For those of you who are still challenged by packing there is a store that will provide missing items at a large price. For those who succumb to numerous Buffalo Milk's at Doug's there is an ATM. Other facilities include a bar, restaurant, ice cream shop and dive shop.

The following is the fabulous Schedule of Events for the weekend

Friday September 5th

5.30pm - Tapping of the first keg
7.00pm - Hash with Hares Creampuff and Dickmaster.
The run starts from the campsite. Post run is your own free time, please note dinner is up to your own devices.

Saturday September 6th

9.00am - Breakfast at Doug's
3.00pm - Hash with Hares Quicktool and Matterhorny. This is a B to C run. The bus will collect us from outside of Doug's at 2.00pm.
7.30pm - Dinner at Doug's
9.00pm - Dancing at Doug's

Sunday September 7th

8.30am - Hangover Hash with Hares Oedipussy and Cock o'dial Done Me. This is a Hash Triathalon that will start at the campsite.
10.30am - Brunch at Doug's.
